A walk with one’s family along forest paths marked by signposts
In September of every year, in an effort to raise awareness of the battlefields and their historical tours, the Sacred Way Committee organizes a people’s walk in the footsteps of the soldiers who fought in Verdun.
Three distances are offered to participants. This provides a level of exertion that is tailored to each person’s abilities and allows people who are untrained or accompanied by children to take part in this event without difficulty. (12 signposted paths are provided). This people’s walk is open to all persons who wish not only to share in the Remembrance but also to discover the Great War remembrance trails and historical sites.
No age limit and no competitive spirit.
Start and Finish: Vaux-devant-Damloup;
Sign up on-site, or make a reservation by phoning the Committee.
Courses measuring 5, 10 and 20 km.
Number of Participants: Approximately 400
